Jose Ochoa, who has been with Craig before he was Craig Bergmann Landscape Design which is now over 30 years, once again climbs the ladder to install the Holiday Lights! The Sunburst Honeylocust in the courtyard at 900 is happy to have the extra addition of lights in this chilly season!
The custom of decorating with lights at the holiday season harks back to using candles on the Christmas trees in upper-class homes in 18th-century Germany. In the early 20th century Christmas trees began to be displayed publicly and illuminated with electric lights. By the 1950s, people were stringing electric lights along streets and buildings. The popular practice of outlining tract homes with Christmas lights in the 1960s has become a big industry today with ever more elaborate decorations. This custom has been adopted in non-western countries, most notably in Japan.
Enjoy the lights and delights of the holiday season.
November 11 saw the first dusting of snow, with thankfully no accumulation.
