GARDEN CARE is the exclusive after-care service for CBLD projects. The
aesthetic direction of your garden is transferred from Craig and the designer to a
team of expert horticulturists who customize a long term maintenance plan for your
garden. GARDEN CARE preserves the original design intent, adapting the garden
as it evolves over time.

GARDEN CARE is also the branch of CBLD that creates renowned seasonal
CONTAINER and SPECIAL EVENT displays. As masters of specialty flower
displays, decor and installations, staff are undaunted by unusual requests, making
a special day even more so. CBLD is a participant in numerous private parties
and weddings throughout the year, as well as special events that include the Lake
Forest Infant Welfare Showhouse & Gardens, the Chicago Flower & Garden
Show, and the Antiques & Garden Fair at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

DESIGN
the ideation and creation of the garden

CBLD begins the design process by analyzing your current garden through site
visits and interviews. After reviewing design options and approving a budget,
detailed documents are drawn, materials and planting schemes are refined. The
project designer assembles the team and supervises all details throughout the
project.

Our PROJECTS range from modern urban roof gardens to the restoration of
historic estates to the creation of private retreats. We welcome each challenge
and pride ourselves in unique solutions of uncompromising quality.

 
INSTALLATION
the physical making of the garden

The proper MAKING of the GARDEN is one of the most exciting steps and crucial
to the garden’s success. CBLD supervises every aspect of this stage from the
selection of contractors to the placement of every plant and the position of each
stone, all installed by our expert horticulturists and plants-people.

 
 
NURSERY
the production of specialty plants

The CBLD Nursery in Wadsworth, IL propagates the speciality plants used only in
CBLD designs and garden care. Born of necessity and an integral part of CBLD,
the Nursery offers the unusual variety of plant material for which CBLD is known.
Who else has hebes, hellebores, and huge euphorbias.  Only CBLD does
because we grow them specially for you! The Nursey is able to winter CBLD
client’s exotic plants.
